My Critique Group Post

One of the most valuable assets to an author is having a trustworthy critique group. I am lucky enough to have three outstanding authors and editors. Writing is a lonely process and I felt I needed a little support. Therefore, I decided to form a critique group. It took a long time coming and then one day it fell into place. We look forward to meeting each month to praise, criticize, comment and make suggestions. My critique group is invaluable to me and it is thanks to them that I keep striving on. Sometimes it’s not easy.

Sharing priceless words,

And Brilliant insights.

A little about my fellow writers above:

Carolyn Sienkiewicz edits and writes both non-fiction and fiction. Her non-fiction work has appeared in Cruising World, Chesapeake Bay Magazine, Living Aboard Magazine and SpinSheet, as well as the 4th Edition of UNIX Unleashed (SAMS). She is an editor for the Washington Independent Review of Books.

Jill Morrow is the author of ANGEL CAFE and THE OPEN CHANNEL (both Paraview Pocket/Simon & Schuster). She has enjoyed a broad spectrum of careers, including practicing law and singing with local bands. She lives just north of Baltimore City and is currently working on her next novel.

Gary McCann has four stories published, most recently in the current edition of Mobius: A Journal of Social Change, and has been honored by two first prizes from the Maryland Writers Association (2011 short works and 2010 mystery/thriller). His other three stories appear in the Harrington Gay Men’s Fiction Quarterly (2001), Alyson’s Best Gay Love Stories 2005, and in the current issue of The Q Review.
